Dirt Product Reviews
Thor's "Ride" range of riding gear is designed for crappy weather riding (read as "great dirt biking weather" riding). We are into Autumn now and it won't be long before Winter is here, so we thought this is the perfect time to sample Thor's "Ride" pant.Leminz
These shorts from Fox are originally designed for riders of the pedal kind, but we've found them to be the sure fire cure for the Euro-bike, ring killer, hard seat blues. Priced at around $65AUD, i'd go as far to say that if you don't ride with the little beauties on, then you're missing out!

We recently took delivery of an oversize fuel tank for our long term KTM450EXC.
Manufactured by IMS in the US and giving us a fuel capacity of 11.7lt,
up from 8lt, it's just what we needed for our thirsty Katoom. No more
carrying extra fuel on those longer rides, that's gotta be a bonus.
We chose the Contour by Pro Taper to compliment the under bar mount kit for our steering damper. The Reed/Henry bend are 800mm wide, with a 92mm rise and 57mm sweep.
Recently I retired my ratty old dirt helmet and opted for a top of the line One Industries “Trooper”. As I have only one head, keeping it well protected against anticipated crash damage is paramount. What I was after was a quality, well fitting, light weight helmet offering maximum protection at an affordable price. And most importantly, it has to look good!
The One Industries Trooper series certainly fits the bill. It
boasts a carbon fibre/Kevlar construction that exceeds Snell M2005 and
DOT standards and its lightweight, well balanced feel, coupled with a
unique venting system greatly aid in reducing rider fatigue.
Steering Dampers for Dirt Bikes. (Part 1)
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first heard of people talking about steering dampers on dirt bikes. I was fully aware of their function on road and road race bikes. Having somewhat limited experience as a club racer the humble steering damper on my Yamaha R6 saved my back side on more than a few occasions, but as to their relevance on dirt bikes, I was a little dubious. That was, until I tried one. In this article, we’ll cover the different types of damper available which we hope will help you make the right decision when purchasing one for your dirt bike
Flexforce Boots
Motoaus have been testing the Flexforce for nearly 1000kms of bush bashing. They have been beaten, crashed, pressure washed, not washed and chucked in the back of the ute for a rainy trip home. The first thing you notice about these boots is how comfortable they are straight out of the box. The hinge system really works and almost completely negates the break in process required for most boots.
