Honda CBR150R to front at Phillip Island
For the second year running, Honda’s smallest production road racer – the CBR150R – can be seen in action at the Phillip Island round of World Superbikes on March 1-2.
For the second year running, Honda’s smallest production road racer – the CBR150R – can be seen in action at the Phillip Island round of World Superbikes on March 1-2.
Honda riders Adrian Di Giandomenico, Chris Picket and Adrian Netrovic, as well as a number of other young riders will join in the scheduled on-track demonstrations, and will have their bikes on display in the support paddocks throughout the festivities. The Today Show on Channel Nine will also be covering some of the on-track junior activities, as well as interview selected local and world Honda riders.
Thirteen to 15 year old riders debuted the CBR150 at the inaugural MRRDA (Motorcycle Road Race Development Association) Junior series last year, and will do so again when the series returns this April at Oran Park, NSW. In addition to retailing the CBR150 at selected Dealers, Honda Australia are also a major sponsor of the series, offering lucrative prizes including a factory supported ride at the ASEAN Cup in Motegi, Japan, as well as a supported ride on the new GP – Mono 250 to a young rider who will be moving up to the senior ranks in 2009.
The bike comes stock with fibreglass bodywork and a racing exhaust system along with a rejetted carby to suit the racing environment.
