Mat Mladin doubles again

Mat Mladin has chalked up his sixth win in a row at the Virginia round of the AMA Superbike Championship in the USA. Mladin won both races comfortably over teammate Ben Spies. Spies however still leads the championship by 18 points over Mladin. Mladin will be looking to break Spies record of 7 wins in a row, with the Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca rounds left in the championship.

Mladin finished race 2 over 40 seconds in front of the closest non-Suzuki rival.

In developments after race 2 however the AMA has declared the results provisional, and is currently inspecting the crankshaft of Mladins machine for compliance with series rules.
