Race Two: 1st. Noriyuki Haga, 2nd. Johnny Rea, 3rd. Leon Haslam.
The 2010 Nurburgring round of the World Superbike Championship was notable for Nori Haga’s return to the top of the podium with a win in race 2, after crashing out in Race 1 while running at the front.
Race 1 was won by Ten Kate Honda’s Johnny Rea, after the race was restarted from a red flag incident involving Leon Haslam and Troy Corser. Rea led home Carlos Checa, and Yamaha’s Cal Crutchlow.
Race 2 was vintage Haga, who powered away from the Ten Kate Honda of Rea after Checa crashed out behind Haga’s Ducati. Leon Haslam overcame his Race 1 injuries to finish 3rd. Points leader Biaggi banked a 4th and a 5th place to hold on to a comfortable 58 point lead in the 2010 championship onboard his RSV4 Aprilia.
