Motorcycles meet Surf
Italian motorcycle gear manufacturer Alpinestars have shown off a set of surfboard covers that mimic their racing suits.
Alpinestars have produced 5 unique surfboard covers which blend surf culture and motorcycle racing. The Closet, described as a “lifestyle fashion boutique” but more commonly described by us as a “clothes shop”, featured a display of the covers in their Costa Mesa, California store.
Described as an interpretation of Alpinestars’ racing technology, in a context outside of racing, all of the pieces and materials used to create these board covers are borrowed from Alpinestars’ leather racing suits and other protective pieces.
The 5 covers were hand-stitched and assembled in Alpinestars’ dedicated racing development factory in Asolo Italy, where a team of engineers, designers and seamstresses are devoted specifically to the Alpinestars racing program and athletes.
All we need now is a pair of Billabong leather board shorts with knee sliders for the circle to be complete.
