Husky’s Bennett still on top
Team Husqvarna Racing’s Championship Vets class rider Stuart Bennett claimed two first places in Saturday and Sunday’s, rounds 7/8 of the Australian Off Road Series held at Conondale Qld 19th & 20th May, 2007.
Bennett steered his Husqvarna TE 250 to have a major lead in the championship. “I’m stoked with the result and happy that I lead the Championship Vets class outright. The TE 250 performed so well. Darren Lloyd had a mixed weekend where he placed a little down the order than he wanted in the Championship E2 class due to problems on Saturday. Darren then turned that around with a 5th place on Sunday.
“Today’s (Sunday) 5th placing is a good indication that my results are getting better and I’m riding with much more confidence. I rode a Husqvarna TE 450. Younger sibling Andy Lloyd finished 4th on both days.
“Results are OK but I am working on breaking into the top 3 in the E1 class. The Enduro course was fast but became extremely dusty and rough on Sunday said Andy.”
The next Enduro event for Team Husqvarna Racing will be rounds 5 and 6 of NSW Enduro Series to be held at Rosewood over the weekend of Saturday/Sunday May 26/27, 2007.
