The incomparably fun and high-spirited CRF250X combines light weight, strong, versatile power and confidently responsive handling in one of the finest dirt bikes to be found in the world of off-road riding. Hailed by magazines and serious off-road riders everywhere, the remarkable CRF250X also features the easy dependability of push-button electric starting, enduro style lights to extend the fun after the sun goes down, and the strong, flexible performance of a motocross champion that anybody can enjoy.

For 2008, the Australian Design Rule (ADR) 250X features a host of unique new features including TAG T2 Fat bars with Honda branded bar pad, TAG grips, front headlight shroud and Barkbuster handguards. A new Showa fork with a larger cartridge rod and new cartridge oil piston translate to improved oil flow and less friction. The bike also sports stiffer springs for improved mid-stroke action. The addition of works-style front and rear brake rotors reduce unsprung weight, and to make for an even more comfortable ride, the 7.6 litre fuel tank has been redesigned and the seat made narrower for improved rider ergonomics.

The improvements continue with the addition of a new slimline LCD Speedometer, an all plastic taillight mount for lighter weight, as well as redesigned slimline rear taillight. The front master cylinder has been upgraded along with the adjustable front brake lever, chain guard, brake snake and speedo sensor. Shod with a Dunlop D908F front tyre and D606 rear tyre, the 250X also offers better grip than ever before. The little champion also comes standard with a spares kit including a Dunlop D742FA front tyre and Dunlop D756 rear tyre, an original headlight, original speedo including cable, Barkbusters, Renthal handlebar (971 bend), and factory handlebar grips.

Additional parts provided on purchase include a spoke spanner, spark plug tool, owners manual and competition handbook, as well as a battery charger. All of these modifications plus the standard features such as a smooth-shifting wide-ratio 5-speed transmission, Pro-Link rear suspension system with fully adjustable Showa damper tuned for competitive off-road riding, and convenient sidestand make the CRF250X a perfect choice for recreation or racing. Honda’s eye for details such as providing an easy-access, washable urethane foam air filter, as well as ensuring that all plastic body components are designed for light weight and slim, aggressive form are the qualities that truly set the CRF250X apart from the competition.

The CRF250X will be available from authorised Dealers early November (recommended retail price still to be advised).
