Chad Reed places second behind Ryan Villipoto in opening 2012 Anaheim Supercross.

Villipoto Wins Anaheim 1 for 2012

Chad Reed has finished second to Ryan Villipoto at the opening race of the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross series held at Anaheim in California.

Reed won his heat race , and ran a comfortable second in the main race, but fell on Lap 14. Remounting, Reed held out Ryan Dungey to finish 2nd behind Villipoto.

The series moves to Chase Field in Pheonix, Arizona next Saturday January 14th 2012.
