Yamaha Motor Australia is giving away a TT-R230 and WR450F to two lucky entrants to the 2007 Yamaha Blue Light Rally, one of the country’s best attended and longest running dirt bike rallies. Now in its 32nd year, the Victoria Police Motor Sports Club organised event takes place on private property near Noojee, Vic from Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 November 2007.
With 800 senior entrants confirmed leading into the final week of registration for the event, organiser Colin Chamings looks forward to a busy weekend: "We are pleased with the number of entrants this year, the rally is now at a good manageable level. We get a large number of regular riders who turn up year after year making the Blue Light more of an annual institution for many. It’s great to be involved in putting on a ride that so many riders get so much enjoyment from," he says.
The Blue Light caters for all standards of off road riders. Junior riders aged 12 to 16 years ride on the Saturday while the Senior 65km loop features some of the region’s best trails. Sunday’s Senior event caters for all types of licensed riders who have registered and properly silenced off road motorcycles.
Yamaha is giving away a TT-R230 to one lucky Junior entrant on Saturday and a WR450F will be drawn on the Sunday after the rally for one Senior rider. Plus all Junior entrants receive a Yamaha goodie bag on the Saturday and there are plenty of prize giveaways on the Sunday for Senior riders.
The event has become a must do fun ride and is listed by ADB magazine as one of the top 10 dirt bike rides in Australia. In line with Yamaha’s tread lightly policy, the VPMSC is working to conserve the area as much as possible during the event and has support from the Department of Sustainability.
The Blue Light Rally enjoys further support from local community and charities as well as major industry partners such as Fox, Shift, ADB, EMD and MXTV.
