CBR1000RR in Black Silver
The 2008 CBR1000RR Fireblade range has been ignited with an exciting new additional colour – a Black/Silver combination that is sure to catch the eye. Since its debut earlier this year, the new Fireblade has been reaping the praise of industry journalists and new customers the world over. With innovative developments such as a new underslung exhaust system and “Honda Assist Slipper Clutch” for smoother and quicker cornering control, the bike has been surpassing many expectations. With a drastically shortened and lightened wheelbase, it is slimmer and more compact than every other bike in the litre class.
The end result is a 2.5 kg lighter engine with sleeveless plated cylinders and lighter internals for stronger, faster power delivery. With such advanced features as its mass centralised fuel tank, Unit-Pro-Link rear suspension, radial-mount front disc brakes and revolutionary Honda Electronic Steering Damper, everything about the CBR1000RR stakes out a higher standard in motorcycle performance and design aesthetics. Honda Australia are offering a number of accessories available for purchase including a selection of lightweight and stylish carbon fibre parts, protective rear tank pad and fuel lid cover set adorned with the HRC logo, a colour-matched rear seat cowl, a taller, tinted windscreen, racing sticker set and much more.
As well as Black/Silver, additional colours available for the 2008 CBR1000RR include Winning Red and Pearl Shining Yellow. Recommended retail is $17990 (including GST plus on roads).
CB1300S in Black
With pure, naked muscle, and a stunning DOHC inline-4 power plant, the monstrous CB1300 is truly deserving of its moniker: ‘King of the CBs’.
In addition to the red/white scheme with gold rims already available, Honda is now bringing the bike out in a sleek Darkness Black Metallic Black paint scheme that gives it an even more singular look.
The CB’s traditional form and beautifully formed aluminium and chrome pay homage to classic motorcycles whilst offering the latest in performance and handling. Its industrial-looking engine looms proudly in its frame whilst still offering a surprisingly comfortable riding position thanks to its accommodating seat height and slimline side covers. Specially designed with compact and slim proportions, the traditional twin binnacle-style gauges, high accuracy electronic dials and multi-function riding computer all provide the information needed for every daily ride.
The S version’s sporty and beautifully integrated half-fairing also features two handy storage pockets and provides excellent protection again the wind at highway speeds. Recommended retail is $15,390 (including GST + on roads)
