HUSQVARNA SPONSORED MEET AT REEDY CREEK A SUCCESS
QLD State Quad Championship – Husqvarna Women’s Gold Cup and Senior Men’s Open, Reedy Creek
Fast pace and plenty of MX action was in store for Team Husqvarna rider Adam Cini and Husky Chix Rebecca Bateman at Saturday’s race meet held in hot conditions at Reedy Creek (Gold Coast) on Saturday November 25, 2006 and was in conjunction with the Queensland State Quad Championships.
Cini went out firing in the first of his 3 MX heats picking his way through the field to be leading the Senior Men’s Open Unlimited class until a heavy fall towards the end of the moto ended his run, not finishing the race and put him out for the rest of the day.
Husky Chix Rebecca Bateman had three consistent motos putting her in third place on the podium overall on the day behind Ashley Bates (1st) and Kristy Gillespie (2nd) who came up all the way from Albury.
Racing was as hot as the soaring temperatures and the strong crowd was more than entertained with the variety of MX and Quad action throughout the day and early into the night.
