Joe Rocket Suzuki on top at A1

Team Joe Rocket Suzuki has started 2008 on the best possible note, with Josh Waters taking a clean sweep in the A1 Grand Prix Supersport Cup races at Eastern Creek Raceway last weekend.
In the team’s first outing under the new Team Joe Rocket Suzuki banner, Waters was in sensational form aboard his Suzuki GSX-R600, signalling his intentions for the Supersport season ahead. Having set the second-fastest time in qualifying, Waters took out races one and two on Saturday after race-long duels with Judd Greedy.
A week after his 21st birthday, Waters completed a hat-trick of wins on Sunday. Rounding out the successful weekend, the Victorian also set the fastest lap of each race. Team Joe Rocket Suzuki now turn their attention to the non-championship World Superbike support races at Phillip Island on 29 February – 2 March, where Shawn Giles and Craig Coxhell will also contest the Superbike class. The Australian Superbike and Supersport Championships commence a fortnight later at Eastern Creek.
PHIL TAINTON – TEAM MANAGER "The weekend was a fantastic way to start 2008 and our association with Joe Rocket. "Josh rode with maturity all weekend, even after having to overcome some confusion over a manual start in race two, which saw him buried back in the field in the opening lap. "However all credit to Josh who simply rode the wheels of his GSX-R600 to come back and win the race and give Team Joe Rocket Suzuki a clean sweep for the event."
JOSHUA WATERS "Three wins from three races is the perfect way to kick off the new racing season. "I can’t thank Phil and the Team Joe Rocket Suzuki mechanics enough for giving me such a great bike this weekend. "My GSX-R600 and the Dunlop tyres were certainly the package to be on. "I plan to go home now and continue training harder than ever in preparation for our next event supporting the World Superbike championship at the end of the month."
