MotoGP to 1000cc
As expected MotoGP capacity will increase to 1000cc in 2012.
The FIM have announced what has been expected, an increase in capacity limit for 2012.

Basic concept for MotoGP
– Maximum displacement: 1000cc
– Maximum number of cylinders: 4
– Maximum bore: 81 mm
The rule appears to be an attempt to reduce costs, with 1000cc easily providing enough power, and the maximum cyclinder count of 4, combined with an 81mm bore max limiting radical engine design development.
