Lorenzo wins Qatar

Jorge Lorenzo has won the opening 2012 MotoGP race at Qatar.

After leading early, Lorenzo was passed by Casey Stoner who led for most of the race, before reportedly suffering from arm pump and fading to third behind Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa. Cal Crutchlow came out on top of a race long battle for fourth and fifth place with team mate Dovizioso.
Nicky Hayden was the best of the Ducati’s in sixth, with Valentino Rossi again struggling back in tenth
