The Australian Motorcycle Expo and Sydney Motorcycle Show organisers Exhibitions and Trade Fairs are excited to announce the personal sponsorship of emerging 125 racer Stacey McMahon at this year’s Phillip Island MotoGP event. A sports model and the managing director of her own modelling company White Tiger, Stacey’s unrivalled commitment and passion towards every venture she embarks on sees her well on the way to achieving her goal of qualifying and finishing strongly in the 125GP event at Phillip Island.

While she has only been in the sport for a short time, her willingness to succeed is only too apparent, and as the face of the MotoGP for 2007, she will definitely be one to watch. McMahon will be involved in a range of promotional activities in conjunction with GMC and the MotoGP, including television advertisements which are now appearing during Channel 10 motorsport programs and in other selected timeslots. She will proudly sport the Australian Motorcycle Expo and Sydney Motorcycle Show logos on her racing leathers for the remainder of the year, and first took to the track with the new personal sponsorship at the final wet and wild round of the Australian Superbike Championship at Eastern Creek.

Team GMC Manager Ben Reid said Stacey was a fantastic choice for the role and said she would be one to watch in a large field of 125 support class racers. "Stacey’s passion for motorcycle racing will see her go a long way in the sport, she loves the Phillip Island track in particular and has set some very competitive times there in the past," said Reid. "The personal sponsorship from the Australian Motorcycle Expo and Sydney Motorcycle Show is a great reward for her hard work and she is sure to be in the spotlight throughout the weekend."

"Her role as GMC’s Face of the GP will see her meeting with top Dorna officials and a number of dignitaries, and fans can also catch her at the Melbourne Expo for all 3 days." Event organisers are looking forward to working alongside McMahon as she prepares for her first major outing in front of a huge international crowd. Fans can catch Stacey at the Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne from October 5-7, at the KLS Australia stand, where she will be signing copies of her recently released calendar – a must for motorsport fans.
