These are the questions that everyone will be asking this Saturday night when Daniel Reardon and Mitch Hoad take to the track for Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT), at the final round of the Australian Supercross Championship, at Dapto Showground, NSW.
After dominating the field all season, crossing the line and taking the chequered flag more times than any of his rivals in the Pro Open Class, Reardon is approaching the final round event like he has all other races this season, with patience, determination and confidence onboard his factory prepared Kawasaki KX450F.Can Reardon accomplish his goal of winning that elusive Championship trifecta?
Success this weekend will give Reardon a fairytale Supercross trifecta finish, as this will be his third consecutive Championship win. Reardon won the Pro Lites Title in 2005, backed it up with a Pro Open Title win for KRT in 2006 and is now well on his way to earning himself the title of the “King of Australian Supercross”.
Can KRT Pro Lites pilot Mitch Hoad, go one better at Dapto? The KRT young gun got his 2007 Supercross campaign off to a rocky start onboard his KX250F, but ultimately found his form at the last event in Rosedale, Victoria.Sitting in fourth place going into the final round, Hoad has every opportunity to finish on the Championship podium this weekend, if he can replicate his round three form.Hoad will no doubt come out pumped and swinging tomorrow night, ready to put up a fight to all challengers.
