The countdown to the nation’s most demanding scooter endurance test has begun, with only two weeks remaining until the green flag is waved to signal the start of the third annual Le Minz 24 Hour Scooterthon at Parklands Showground on the Gold Coast. The September 8-9 showdown is sure to be an energy-packed occasion, so it seems only fitting that organisers officially welcomed High Roller Energy as the event’s major sponsor late last week.

The newest addition to the energy drink market, High Roller Energy is sure to be in great demand from a rapidly-expanding lineup of scooter riders, teamed up or going the distance alone in the ultimate test of reliability aboard the emerging method of transport. Mark Petersen from Exhibition and Trade Fairs said the High Roller Energy Le Minz 24 Hour Scooterthon was shaping up to be a fun-filled spectacle with unprecedented interest.

"We are excited to welcome High Roller Energy to the event and know that participants will appreciate the boost as they ride around the clock to find which manufacturer is the most reliable," said Petersen. "It’s a safe and entertaining way to compare the latest models on the market – scooters are sky-rocketing in popularity and becoming a popular choice for everyday transport."

"100 percent of the profits will go to the Autism Association of Australia, a hard-working charity that contributes so much to the community." Half of the grid has now been filled, with a further 10 places expected to be snapped up in quick succession. While Le Minz is a fun way to gauge the reliability and efficiency of scooters, there will also be a selection of riders seeking to break a recently-set world record.

Earlier this year, Julio Languiller set an impressive benchmark, riding a Honda Today 50 a total of 1084km in a 24-hour period. Manufacturers will be vying to set a new Guinness World Record at the event, and those who have not yet secured their place on the grid are encouraged to contact event organisers as soon as possible.

The mainstream media frenzy surrounding scooters increases each year, with a strong local presence complimenting the publicity generated by industry magazines and websites. Visitors to the event will now not only receive free admission, but also be in the running to win a brand new 50cc scooter from Arqin Scooters, to be drawn on site as the chequered flag is waved at midday on Sunday.

The popular scooter event is open to manufacturers of 50cc scooters exhibiting at the Australian Motorcycle Expo Brisbane (Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, September 21-23) and the Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne (Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, October 5-7).

The Australian Motorcycle Expo is proudly supported by Western QBE. Manufacturers wishing to participate should contact High Roller Energy Le Minz 24 Hour organisers Exhibition and Trade Fairs.
