Geronimi puts Kawasaki on podium at A1

KRT supported rider Shaun Geronimi has raced his Kawasaki ZX-6R all the way to the podium, finishing 3rd overall at the Supersport support races at the A1 GP at Eastern Creek Raceway.

KRT supported rider Shaun Geronimi has raced his Kawasaki ZX-6R all the way to the podium, finishing 3rd overall at the Supersport support races at the A1 GP at Eastern Creek Raceway, NSW, on 2-3 February 2008.

After a 1 year hiatus from Motorcycle racing, Kawasaki rider Shaun Geronimi is wasting no time getting back on the pace with a pair of 3rds over the weekend to finish on the podium. Shaun was happy with his result.

“I’m pleased to get Kawasaki on the podium! It’s been a long time since I’ve been on a race bike so I’m very happy to be settling back in quickly and I’m still getting faster and faster. Dave Cullen and I are putting our heads together to find the best set up for me on the Kawasaki ZX-6R. It’s all looking good for 2008!”

KRT Manager Dave Cullen says, “KRT took the opportunity of the A1 GP to gel the new team and get some testing and practise on the Kawasaki ZX-6R under race conditions under our belt. Shaun’s still settling in to the Ninja ZX-6R after a year off so this result is really good for him. We’re all looking forward to the beginning of the Australian Supersport Championships."

KRT rider Scott Charlton had a productive weekend experimenting with starting procedures and race set up of his Kawasaki ZX-6R. Scott took out 3rd place in his first race on Saturday.
