2011 WSBK Miller Park Utah USA

Carlos Checa has reversed the misfortune from last years USA WSBK round in Utah in the best way possible – with double race victories.

After leading both races last year, but DNFing due to mechanical failure, Checa took the chequer in both races on his Althea Racing Ducati.

Race One made a mockery of Ducati pulling out of WSBK, with the top 3 all Ducatoi mounted, Jakub Smrz second, with Sylvain Guintoli 3rd. Aussie champ Josh Waters was 12th, one place ahead of Troy Corser in 13th.
The first BMW across the line was Ayrton Badovini, in front of both the factory machines.

Biaggi, Rea, Xaus and Fabrizio all ended their races in the mud.

Race Two was all Checa again, but this time he was followed across the stripe by the twofactory Aprilias, with Brit Leon Camier besting team mate Biaggi. Checa comfortably leads the championship as they head to Misano in 2 weeks time.
