Casey Stoner has claimed his 27th Pole at the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello.

Casey Stoner has matched his 27 GP wins with a 27th pole position at Mugello in Italy.

Ben Spies was second fastest, ahead of the current talk of MotoGP – Marco Simoncelli – in 3rd.

Ducati didn’t fare so well at their home track, with Valentino Rossi a dismal 1.86 seconds off the pace, back in 12th position after rain disrupted the session.

The MotoGP race will be telecast on OneHD on Sunday 3rd July 2011, starting at 8pm with the Moto2 race, and then MotoGP at 9.30. Check your local guide.
