Triumph-Thruxton-SE

Triumph is set to introduce a Special Edition to it’s cafe racer Thruxton.

The 2010 Thruxton SE features a powder-coated red frame with metallic Crystal White bodywork and matching red stripe, a colour-matched fly screen and blacked out engine cases.

The fuel injected 865cc parallel twin delivers 68bhp at 7,400rpm and peak torque of over 50ft.lbs. The Thruxton’s engine shares the same 360 degree firing interval as the Bonneville, but also features hotter camshaft profiles, a 9.2 compression ratio, and megaphone style exhaust.

Low rise bars, 18-inch spoked wheels, megaphone style pipes, and a race inspired stripe from tank to tail evoke memories of London’s Ace Café.

The Thruxton SE will be available at authorized Triumph dealers in March 2010.
