Looking Back – Kawasaki H2 750
Kawasakis H2 750 was an inevitable step up from the screaming H1 500 triple. Fifty percentĀ more motor size, essentially jammed in the same frame, gave birth to the bike some dubbed “The Widow Maker”.
Although the big triple two stroke engine was more user friendly than its 500cc little brother, the distinct lack of brakes, and a propensity to wobble atĀ high speed or cornering, made riding one of these monsters to the limit an often painful gamble.
A combination of emission problems, and the success of the Z1, put an end to the H2 in 1974, but they retain a group of dedicated fans and owners to this day.
