Melbourne Expo full of stunts
The 2008 Melbourne Motorcycle Expo will feature a range of stunts.
The 2008 Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne’s Yamaha Action Arena will be showcasing a bag of high-flying, gravity-defying stunts by leading FMX, Trials and Mini Bike riders. The best in the business will be on show for four big days, from October 30 – November 2, at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The Yamaha Showtime FMX team, with Crusty regulars Steve Mini, Kain Saul and Matt McFerran are set raise the roof on the Expo with their jaw-dropping range of tricks, including the backflip and backflip combinations. Sherco Australia’s Victorian Trials duo Dylan Rees and Scott Owen will showcase a precise blend of balance, precision and power as they manoeuvre their way over a range of seemingly impassable obstacles.
And the ever-popular Mini Moto Playground is back for 2008, a spectacle featuring adult riders on kids’ bikes that has to be seen to be believed. Crowd favourite Browndog Superman has added an insane 360-degree trick to his arsenal, and will team up with the fearless Thomas Lee Motorcycles crew to put on an incredible show sure to entertain all ages.
Mark Petersen of Exhibitions and Trade Fairs said a packed schedule of performances at the Yamaha Action Arena would entertain every visitor to the four-day event.
"Everything about the Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne is bigger in 2008, including the lineup we’ve secured for the popular Yamaha Action Arena, with the Showtime FMX, Sherco Trials and Mini Bike riders ready to put on a show," said Petersen. "Visitors can get up close to the action at up to four performances daily; the louder the applause, the higher and harder these guys will go," he said. "Following the show the riders will be available for an autograph and a chat as well." The Yamaha Action Arena is just one of the many attractions included as part of the ticket price.
