Bayliss to jump off building
Troy Bayliss has said he will jump off an 18 story building in Brisbane.
Attached to abseiling gear of course!
Troy Bayliss will on Wednesday swap his helmet for a harness and a rope to abseil down an 18 story inner-Brisbane building to raise money and awareness for Youngcare.
Youngcare is a Brisbane-based charity formed to provide relevant and dignified lifestyles for young Australians with high care needs, many who have an illness or injuries that will affect them for the rest of their lives.
The latest fundraising initiative will see three-time World Superbike Champion Bayliss join some of the nation’s leading sportspeople including defending V8 Supercar Champion, Jamie Whincup to abseil down 40 Creek Street, which is being refurbished by construction companies, Built and Charter Hall.
The public is being urged to get behind the project by logging onto http://www.everydayhero.com.au/troy_bayliss and sponsoring Bayliss as he prepares for the abseiling challenge.
Other sports people participating in the challenge include World Cup Rugby legend, Tim Horan, former Rugby League player, Ben Ikin, Australian Netball Champion, Vicki Wilson and Captain of the Brisbane Lions, Jonathan Brown.

The abseiling challenge will commence at 7am on Wednesday April 8, 2009 with Bayliss and Whincup scheduled to scale the building at 9.30am.
