Motorcycle Sales In Australia Jan to March 2010
Motorcycle Sales figures for Jan-March 2010 drop compared to 2009
Latest figures from the FCAI show new motorcycle sales have had a lack lustre start to the year, with the first quarter of 2010 showing a 12% drop over the same period last year.
Several non Japanese brands have fared comparatively well, BMW helped along by 50 new 1000RR sport bike sales.
Of the big 4 Japanese manufacturers, Kawasaki had the biggest drop, a thumping 26% drop, despite topping overall Road Bike sales with it’s popular Ninja 250. Suzuki and Honda figures are down 18%, with Yamaha looking at an 11% decline.
Dealers will be hoping for a better second quarter to the year.
