Aprilia’s Max Biaggi has won the 2012 WSBK title in dramatic circumstances.

Biaggi and Aprilia – 2012 World Superbike Champions

Italian max Biaggi has won the World Superbike title for 2012 by the smallest of margins.

Biaggi took his Aprilia to 5th place in a race won by Tom Sykes, to claim victory by only half of one point over Sykes. Marco Melandri finishes 3rd in the championship after a huge crash in the second race.

The 2012 title is Biaggi’s second in Superbike, taking his total to 6 World Championships.
