Speed Triple R

Triumph’s Speed Triple, has been given the R’s for 2012.

The “R” version is like a Speed Triple, only Speedier. Already a fine handling beast, the Speed Triple R gets a set of 43mm Ohlins forks, and a TTX36 shock. Lighter forged ally PVM wheels reduce unsprung weight, saving a decent 1.7 kilos.

Brakes are Brembo Monoblocks, with a switchable ABS system.Triumph say the lighter wheels and better brakes impove stopping power by 5%.

In addition to all the chassis niceties, you get a bonus red subframe, which along with those big gold Ohlins forks will ensure you get the respect you deserve. The Speed Triple R will be available in White, or Metallic Black.

The official launch will take place at the 2011 EICMA show in Milan.
