Aprilia Tuono V4 R
Aprilia have released pictures of the Tuono V4 R, the stripped down version of the RSV4.
Utilising all of the improvements Aprilia have added to the 2011 RSV4, including the complex electronic control package, the Tuono gets some remapping to bring the torque peak a little lower in the rev range, and the lower gears are spaced closer together.
The tank, seat and tailpiece are unchanged from the RSV4, with the higher bars requiring the fitment of a new small nose fairing with twin lights – more intergrated than the confronting snout that adorned the last Tuono model.
All of the other trick 2011 RSV4 bits are used, the lighter exhaust and wheels as an example.
162 horsepower, 110Nm of torque, and a claimed weight of 172kg means this Tuono takes the concept of the naked performance bike one step further. The outgoing V-twin Tuono was one of the funnest, wildest rides you could hit the streets on, so we can’t wait to try this latest offering.
Accurate details regarding Australian price and release date will be updated when available here.
