Bimota Motorcycles, manufacturer of  Italian sport motorcycles, has confirmed the appointment of Stoney Creek Powersports as exclusive distributor for Australia.

Bimota Motorcycles, manufacturer of premium handcrafted Italian sport motorcycles, has confirmed the appointment of Stoney Creek Powersports as exclusive distributor for Australia.

Since its rebirth in 2003, the famous Italian designers and engineers of Bimota have created an incomparable range of sports motorcycles based around Ducati Desmo engines. 2008 models include the award-winning DB6 Delirio 1100, the distinctive Tesi 3D with its unique ‘centre hub’ steering technology and the all new powerful DB7 Super Bike unveiled at the EICMA international motorcycle show in Milan November 6th 2007.

"We are excited to introduce the full range of Bimota models, the Super Sport DB5, Sport Naked DB6, Superbike DB7 and Sport Special TESI 3D, available from mid 2008. All models will be displayed at trade shows during this year so motorcyclists can experience these incredible motorcycles first hand." said Paul Nobbs, Director of Stoney Creek Powersports.

Since the early 70’s, Bimota has produced motorcycles built around engines from the leading global manufacturers including Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, BMW and Ducati, featuring innovative solutions to chassis design, most notably that of Hybrid Trellis frames, hub centre steering and extreme attention to component detail.

The incredible passion of the three founders Bianchi, Morri and Tamburini (Bi Mo Ta) was extended to their innovative race bikes that carried such great names as Ferrari, Tardozzi, Mertens and Falappa to victories on the world stage. The latest chapter in Bimota motorcycle design is the new DB7.

Powered by the incredible Ducati 1098 Testastretta Evoluzione engine, the DB7 matches the performance of the Ducati Superbike engine with innovative Bimota chassis engineering. The DB7 introduces a beautiful oval tube Hybrid Trellis frame, race proven premium suspension and brakes and a structural carbon fiber rear subframe.
