After recently introducing Australia to the first of its newest series of big V-Twins, the Vulcan 1700 Classic, Kawasaki now proudly releases the next model in the exciting Vulcan 1700 range – the Vulcan 1700 Nomad.

On top of the all new muscular engine, new 6 speed transmission and Kawasaki’s first fully electronic throttle valve system, the Vulcan 1700 Nomad also boasts Electronic Cruise Control, an adjustable windscreen, hard, lockable panniers, front and rear guards, passenger floorboards and a luxury passenger backrest enabling comfortable two-up touring.

As part of Kawasaki’s latest evolution of big bore V-Twin Cruisers, the Vulcan 1700 Nomad shares the same all new 1700cc single overhead cam long stroke engine with the rest of the Vulcan 1700 line, but like the flagship Vulcan 1700 Voyager it’s tuned to deliver maximum torque and power at a slightly higher rpm to reflect its intention for the open road. Engine tuning offers superior acceleration in the 80-115 km/h range. Even in overdrive, the engine pulls strongly in this speed range, facilitating overtaking at highway speeds.

The easy to use electronic cruise control works with the Nomad’s fully electronic throttle valve system (ETV) to set steady speeds between 50 and 110 km/h in third through sixth gears providing comfortable, stress free long distance highway cruising. The Vulcan 1700 Nomad adds wind protection care of an adjustable handlebar mounted windscreen.

A sub windscreen and deflectors on the Nomad further increases wind protection performance with the sub windscreen covering the area between the windscreen and headlight when the windscreen is in the raised position. The fork mounted deflectors help direct air away from the rider’s legs. The Vulcan 1700 Nomad also features hard, lockable panniers with each top opening pannier providing 38 litres of convenient sealed storage space for overnight touring.

Comfortable seating for the rider and passenger is a must on a touring bike and the Nomad delivers with plush deluxe seats that are sculpted for all day comfort. Contributing to long distance passenger comfort is a luxury back rest with integrated passenger grab bars and floorboards for both the rider and passenger. Front and rear guards on the Vulcan 1700 Nomad help protect the bike’s engine and panniers in the case of a stationary fall. Convenient helmet locks located on the left and right side pannier guards both contribute to the all round practicality and ease of the all new Vulcan 1700 Nomad.

It’s all finished off with completely new and redesigned bodywork including an elegantly shaped fuel tank that tapers at the rear contributing to the Nomad’s curvaceous figure and flowing lines. Featuring a powerful 1700cc engine, light handling courtesy of a lighter but more rigid frame and trademark Kawasaki craftsmanship, the all new Vulcan 1700 Nomad has you covered whether you’re heading out on an overnight trip with a partner or cruising solo through town.

Available in Metallic Diablo Black, the all new Vulcan 1700 Nomad is now at Kawasaki Dealerships at the RRP of $22,499
