2009 Yamaha Vmax launch in Brisbane
Brisbane’s Powerhouse Museum was the venue for Yamaha Australia’s Brisbane launch of the upcoming 2009 Vmax muscle bike. Press, industry and a number of customers who have already placed a deposit on the 200hp bruiser were on hand to see the Vmax in the flesh.
The promotional videos shown indicated Yamaha’s commitment to the continuation of the original model V-max’s ideology, an acceleration focused power cruiser. Jim Beam Racing’s V8 Supercar driver Steven Johnson rode the bike on to the stage, and mingled with the crowd afterwards.
The size of the crowd at the launch indicates the high level of interest in the new Vmax.

Large shift light shows the intent of the bike.
Massive radial mounted 6 piston ABS brakes.
Interesting looking rear disc.
200 horsepower V4 package laden with 3 and 4 letter acronyms. Can’t wait to hear this bike with an aftermarket exhaust.
