Triumph has revealed some details about its new Thunderbird cruiser at the Triumph Global Dealer Conference in Birmingham, England.

The Thunderbird features an all-new parallel 1600cc twin-cylinder engine with six-speed gearbox and belt drive. More details on the Thunderbird will be released in early 2009. Triumph have revealed that an extensive range of accessories to customise the Thunderbird as either a stripped down hotrod, or a full dress tourer will be made available. ABS braking will be an option offered.

The Triumph Thunderbird will be released as a 2010 model most likely in 2009, with a release date yet to be announced.
