Andrew Pitt for BMW Superbike

Andrew Pitt has signed to ride a BMW in World Superbike 2010

Another Aussie joins the World Superbike grid next year with Andrew Pitt signing on for BMW.

Joining the new Reitwagen BMW Team, Pitt will utilise fellow Aussie Pete Goddard as a chassis Engineer.

Pitt’s teammate will be Austrian Roland Resch, and the teams technical manger will be none other then Johan “Stiggy” Stigefelt.

With 47 World Superbike races and 66 World Supersport races on his scorecard, Pitt has no shortage of experience.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of a new bike. I’ve been working hard on my fitness and I’m more motivated than ever to have a successful two-years.”

Pitt will spend the next two months at home in the NSW North Coast town of Port Macquarie where he will be joined early in 2010 by teammate Roland Resch. The pair will train together in the lead up to the start of the season,ensuring that both riders are at peak fitness before tackling the 215-plus horsepower BMW S 1000 RR.
