Motoaus.com tested the first release of the 750cc naked Aprilia Shiver, and found a lot to like. You can read that test on the Aprilia Shiver here.

Aprilia then went on to release a super motard style version, the Dorsaduro. They now raise the bar in the Sport Touring category with the announcement of the new Shiver GT 750 ABS.

Brimming with features and technology the Shiver GT 750 ABS has slightly changed styling that includes a mini fairing, and improved rider comfort. It also features a second generation ride-by-wire system with three different engine mappings controlled by the rider to suit any riding conditions as well as the latest generation two channel ABS braking system with radial calipers. The modular aluminum composite chassis is linked with steel tubular and aluminum side plates for improved handling characteristics.

The power plant is Aprilia’s proven and grunty 749cc 90° V Twin with double overhead camshaft with a mixed gear-chain timing system and electronic fuel injection. Suspension is top of the line Aprilia sports with an adjustable rear shock absorber and 43mm upside-down forks.

The Aprilia Shiver GT 750 ABS will have a RRP of $14,990.00 plus on road costs and will be available in Australia in April 2010 in two colours, Damasco red and Aprilia black.
