Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 V4 NTS ABS
Moto Guzzi introduces the new Stelvio adventure model, the NTX with ABS.
Moto Guzzi have released details on the upcoming super sized adventure model, the Stelvio NTX. We had a brief ride the current Stelvio and were impressed with what a fine on-road motorcycle it was. Very unique too, although with the price premium you’d expect Anti lock brakes would be a good thing on a dirt road, this is a large motorcycle…Press release follows:
Staying true to Moto Guzzi’s Italian passion for style, engineering excellence, riding pleasure and adventure the new model Stelvio 1200 4V NTX ABS captures all this and promises to satisfy the rider’s appetite to discover distant and challenging places.
The prefix NTX has long been associated with the Moto Guzzi brand. In the late 1980’s Moto Guzzi used the prefix to distinguish its extreme adventure models, some of which were used in the Paris to Dakar races and the Rally of the Pharaohs. Moto Guzzi has now revived these three letters to identify the most specialized and adventurous version of the Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 4V, marking the return of Moto Guzzi to the adventure category.
The Stelvio 1200 4V NTX ABS has been fitted with a range of factory accessories including an aluminum sump guard, engine guard and integrated hand shields to protect the rider in extreme conditions. Aluminum panniers and halogen headlights have also been added to make the adventure a little easier.
The famous Moto Guzzi ‘Quattrovalvole” engine has been further refined for this model, adopting new cam profiles and a revised air box to make the Stelvio more responsive at low engine speeds. These modifications now produce a maximum torque of 113Nm at just 5800 RPM.
The Stelvio 1200 NTX ABS has also been fitted with the latest generation two channel anti-lock braking system, making this motorcycle a real competitor on the beaten trail.
The Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 4V NTX ABS will be available this May with a recommended price tag of $25,990.00 plus on road costs. For further details see your local Moto Guzzi Dealer or go to the Moto Guzzi website at www.motoguzzi.com.au
