After a few years with not a whole lot of exciting developments in the 600cc supersport model releases, Kawasaki have quit mucking about for 2013.
Upping the capacity to 636cc, and adding traction control – a first for a Japanese manufaturer in this class – combined with a slipper clutch should make the 2013 ZX-6R king of the roost for a while.
Kawasaki have again chosen to merely lengthen the stroke of the motor rather than go for a rebore, a tactic which worked well in the past, last seen in the 2006 ZX-6R.
The chassis cops big piston forks and restyle to make it a mini-me version the 1000cc ZX-10R weapon.
The 2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R will be available at Kawasaki dealerships in Australia inĀ November. It will be available in Lime Green or Pearl Flat White and in either ABS or non ABS spec. RRP will be announced upon release.
