Naked Bandits loose in Australia

Suzuki has added two new models to its best-selling sports touring range, welcoming a new naked, big-bore Bandit 1250 to Australia. The new Bandit 1250 and ABS-equipped Bandit 1250A return to the roots of the Suzuki Bandit, originally a naked motorcycle when introduced in 1996, and continue the legacy of the GSX1400.

Both the naked and faired Bandits are set to continue Suzuki’s strong sales performances in the naked and sports touring categories. Like the popular faired Bandit 1250S, the naked Bandit 1250 combines a powerful, big-bore engine with Suzuki’s latest technology, in a classically striking package which is equally at home in suburbia or on the highway.

"With its bold look, the new, naked Suzuki Bandit 1250 gives riders even more choice and is set to be a tremendous addition to Suzuki’s model line-up," Perry Morison, General Manager, Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia said. "Like the popular Bandit 1250S, it delivers great performance, style and plenty of value."

A large, 19-litre fuel tank gives the new Suzuki a long touring range. Complementing its bold, naked chassis, the Bandit 1250 has a round headlight and bullet-shaped instrument bodies, in addition to an analogue tachometer, LCD digital speedometer, LCD fuel gauge and clock and LED indicator lamps.

In a Cherry Red colour scheme, the new, naked Suzuki Bandit 1250 is now available in Australia for $11,490*, with the ABS-equipped Bandit 1250A to follow in the coming weeks for $11,990*.

In, new Candy Blue liveries, 2009 models of Suzuki’s popular faired Bandit 1250S and ABS-equipped Bandit 1250SA will be available in Australia in the coming weeks, at an RRP of $11,990* and $12,490*. The entire Suzuki Bandit range is backed by a two-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.
