The all-new 2011 Suzuki GSX-R600 Suzuki has arrived in Australia.

Suzuki’s supersport GSX-R600 has been released in Australia. 2011 sees a complete redesign and the bike is now lighter, and delivers more mid-range power.

New cams, pistons and a refined electronics package with the now expected switchable engine maps are a few of the power upgrades.

Chassis wise, Showa big piston forks and 4 piston Brembo monoblocs head the spec sheet. Most significantly though, Suzuki say the 2011 600 is 9 kilograms lighter than a 2010 model.

“The Suzuki GSX-R600 has always been a class leader thanks to its powerful combination of race-proven technology and world-class engineering,” Perry Morison, General Manager, Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia said. “This has been developed even further for the 2011 GSX-R600, with Suzuki engineers reducing the weight of individual parts across the whole machine, which has resulted in nine kilograms being shaved off the overall weight of the motorcycle.”

The GSX-R600’s all new chassis has been redesigned with an emphasis on weight reduction and compactness. Wheelbase is 15mm shorter, with a revised seating position. Bodywork is compact, 90mm pared of its length.
